Hi, I’m Suki.
I am an award-winning writer of spooky, funny, historical fiction. You can find my short stories in magazines, on websites, in anthologies, and on a podcast. I recently completed The Ghost in the Garden, a suspenseful and humorous novel about two young people faking a séance during the Gilded Age.
I have been writing all my life, and it was my focus in college. My Bachelor’s Degree is in English. I also have a Master’s in Museum Education, and most of my career has taken place in historic houses.

I love history — but I don’t care about the bloodlines of kings. Give me medical students robbing graves, picnics at public executions, and exceedingly stupid Victorian hobbies. I adore books about historical medicine. I collect morbid fun facts like they’re Funko Pops.
History is shocking and hilarious. But among the coffin bells and radioactive beauty treatments, there is humanity. I like finding that, too.
I grew up in New England, but now my home is beautiful and eerie St Augustine, Florida. I work full time at a nonprofit and part time promoting historic inns. My writing takes place every day before the sun is up, usually with a rescue dog trying to edge the computer off my lap.
I hope you enjoy my stories.
